Cardiac Rehab
Cardiac Rehab assists the client that has had a recent cardiac event (within the last year) and the family in identifying and changing the risk factors that contribute to cardiovascular health.
Exercise sessions are three times a week. Clients receive ongoing educational information during the sessions. Phase two is offered and involves telemetry monitoring during the session.
Exercise is individualized according to the physician's written instructions. Forms are available for ordering; or a written prescription is acceptable.
The department is staffed by an ACLS trained RN with assistance from cardiopulmonary staff.
Equipment used for the exercise sessions include:
- Treadmill
- Airdyne bike
- Rowing machine
- Nu-step
- Hand held weights
- Arm Ergometer
