Families First
Families First is a grant funded, community-based group of programs coordinated by Pulaski Memorial Family Centered Care.
All services are provided at no cost to the clients by a team of highly trained professionals and there are no income restrictions.
Sweet Beginnings
The primary goal of Sweet Beginnings is to ensure that prenatal care is readily available to the mothers of Pulaski County by providing early prenatal care resulting in healthy mothers and babies.
Sweet Beginnings is a walk-in clinic for free pregnancy testing and risk assessment available Monday - Friday 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. No appointment is needed, however it is recommended that you call first to be sure of the availability of a nurse.
Any of the 4 nurses employed with Families First can provide services, which include urine pregnancy testing and risk assessment. Sweet Beginnings can help you find financial and medical care, with referral to doctor, financial assistance, prenatal and infant nutrition, and support services.

Healthy Families
Provide services designed to promote positive parenting skills and development screen services which may continue until the child is five years of age. We provide parents with the information to give their child a healthy start; help reduce the stress of parenting.
We listen, support and encourage parents. We provide community resource information and referrals.
Lead Poisoning Prevention & Screening
Provides free blood tests with assessment risk factors for Pulaski County Head Start.
Safe Kids Chapter
Participate in child passenger safety. Limited supplies of infant car seats are available for those families unable to purchase seat.
Denver Screening
Designed to detect developmental deviation in infants and young children before they start school.
Community Partners
Services to help parents and children build strengths, develop skills and broaden their support system in the community. This is a free voluntary service for parents and families.
Tobacco Prevention/Support Group
Support group for those who have quit tobacco use or those in the process of quitting tobacco use meets the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month at 1PM at the YMCA in Winamac. Presentations to businesses on program services are available.
Families First is part of the Indiana Tobacco Prevention Coalition and promote tobacco free environments. Quitline is available for cessation services at 1-800-QUITNOW.
Supervised Visitation Program
Provision of supervised visits for children in the child welfare system.
Alternative Education
Provides an alternative classroom setting for middle and high school students who have been expelled or suspended from local school systems.
